Increase AMR Awareness and Education

  • Develop AMR-specific Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses for clinicians and pharmacists.
  • Make educational materials available to patients in clinical settings and through social media.
  • Conduct community-oriented educational fundraising events.
  • Work with a wide range of government agencies to take immediate action in the promotion of antibiotic stewardship.

Your contributions help to further our mission to educate the public and healthcare professionals about AMR, its causes, and strategies for reduction and elimination. Together, we can prevent AMR from becoming the #1 cause of death worldwide.

Assist Others with NGS and Accurate Treatments

  • Directly assist clinicians and patients with accessing NGS technology for infections.
  • Aid and assist patients suffering with infections with a plan of action for complete recovery.
  • Collaborate with and assist other nonprofit organizations that could benefit from an advanced diagnostic for those they are serving with underlying health conditions who are suffering with infections (i.e., immune deficiencies and autoimmune diseases.

Develop Accurate Phage Therapy Protocols

  • Funding to create educational materials about advanced diagnostic methods which will aid in patient outcomes of phage therapy treatment.  The traditional Culture & Sensitivity method recovers <2% of known bacterial species and may fail to detect all disease-causing microbes present.  It is important to utilize the most accurate diagnostic available in order to identify accurate treatment options (i.e., antimicrobials and/or phage therapy).
  • Funding for the creation of a Phage-Bacteria Binding Site Database to be used in conjunction with NGS to determine optimal phage therapy monotherapy or cocktail therapy.  This method would improve the efficiency of phage therapy and eliminate the need for ambiguous phage cocktails of unknown efficacy.  Once completed, we intend to seek additional funding to carry out necessary clinical trials to establish safety and efficacy of phage therapy to obtain market authorization from the FDA.

Research and Development of Next-Gen Disinfectants

  • Funding further research for a more effective disinfectant that can be used in hospital and clinical settings.  This disinfectant will be used to eradicate ESKAPE pathogens colonizing on surfaces and in medical equipment which will help eliminate further infections.  We are currently collaborating with award-winning researchers studying metal nanoparticles to eliminate these pathogens (and potentially Candida auris) on surfaces.

Facilitate Clinical Trials for Phage Therapy and New antibiotic treatments

  • Funding to provide NGS diagnostic kits to patients enrolled in clinical trials for phage therapy and for patients enrolled in clinical trials for new antibiotic treatments.  It is imperative to identify the exact cause of any infection in order to provide accurate treatments.  Supporting these trials with NGS will help to determine what pathogens are present before treatment is administered.  This protocol reinforces antibiotic stewardship for all involved.
